Leonard Cousins - Senior Pastor

What is Crapaud you might ask?  Well, in addition to being a quaint little community smack in the middle of Prince Edward Island, it’s also the hometown of our senior pastor Leonard Cousins.  Leonard is a graduate of both New Brunswick Bible Institute and Moody Seminary.  After spending over a decade in ministry in a field of several churches in the Plaster Rock, NB area - “on the Tobique” - Leonard joined the WUBC team as Associate pastor in 2002.  In December of 2005 Leonard was called as Senior Pastor here at WUBC.  Leonard is married to Heather, and they have three boys – Matthew, Jody, and Joshua.

Matthew Palmer - Youth and Worship Pastor

Matthew is a product of his upbringing and whether that is good or bad he will let you be the judge when you join us in our ministries here. He is born and raised and totally organic from the town of Woodstock and grew up in the Woodstock Baptist Church. Matt attended Bethany Bible College in Sussex, NB, getting his major in Youth Ministry, Minor in Christian Counselling and a BA in religion. In the past 5 years he has been in and out of ministry but has a God given love to see youth and people in general to come and see how much the Lord loves them and very much wants to be part of their lives. Matt joined the team here on May 1, 2008. He enjoys video games, sports, music, guitar, fishing, hanging out ministering to and getting to know teens, and leading people in songs of worship to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He and his lovely wife Tami, who has been very supportive of his calling into ministry, have a daughter, Anberlin.

Lois Derrah - Administrative Assistant

Lois joined our ministry team late in 2005 following the retirement of our previous administrative assistant.  She brings a variety of skills & talents to the front office and no matter what comes her way, keeps a smile on her face!  Lois has two great guys in her life; her husband, Michael, and son, Chuck. Her passions include:  gardening, knitting, and reading.

Ken Elliott - Building Superintentent

Ken is the father of David and Kate. When not stripping floors, Ken is participating in the management of the Eastwood Housing Co-operative where he lives. He also sits on the Board of Directors of both the provincial and national associations where the role is to promote and protect our present affordable housing stocks and to promote the investment in new buildings across the country. In his free time, Ken likes to read, hand paint ceramics and play Santa to the children of Woodstock.
